Malachy has years of instruction under his belt and provides a positive environment based on a very technical skillset. If you have never trained jiu jitsu before and are in the East Los Angeles area - I can assure you this is a great place to start. I’ve been to a number of Brazilian jiujitsu academies, but this ranks as one of the best. Coach Malachy is thorough in his instruction and I’ve seen my jiujitsu progress leaps and bounds. The Muay Thai coaches are also super personable and take time to get to know you as well. If you are in the area, it is a MUST.

Awesome place, plenty of room to train, plenty of parking. I came in only looking to train in muay thai but I gave bjj a chance and after a few weeks I feel like I'm getting somewhere in my training. Malachy is a great coach willing to take the time to train you one on one.

I primarily train at their Hollywood location but have had the pleasure of visiting their newest location not too long ago and it is just gorgeous. The vibes are immaculate - this is an ego free academy and the people are friendly and respectful. On top of all that, not only is there PLENTY of parking but you get world class training. Head BJJ coach Malachy Silva is a prime example of that. He leads by example and cares about every single one of his students and always takes the time to answer any and all questions you have regarding technique until he sees you get it. Renzo Grazie East LA is a must try if you live in the Commerce area and have always wanted to give martial arts a try!

Purple belt here… this place is excellent for coaching and just a great place to learn. I’ve been training for four years and have been to many gyms .. you can tell that there’s passion in the teaching here. Zeke Jones ASU Wrestling Camp

This summer, Renzo Gracie LA took a thrilling trip to Arizona State University for a wrestling camp, and it was an experience to remember. Coaches Erick, Sheryl, and Jon led our dedicated teen students on this educational journey to learn from the best, and the camp was run by the renowned wrestling coach, Zeke  Jones.

From the moment we arrived, the energy was palpable. The facilities at ASU were top-notch, and the hospitality was unmatched. Our students were eager to absorb as much knowledge as possible, and Coach Jones did not disappoint. His sessions were intense and insightful, focusing on both fundamental techniques and advanced strategies that are pivotal in wrestling.

Each day was packed with drills, live sparring, and invaluable feedback from Coach Jones and his team. Our students had the opportunity to train alongside other passionate wrestlers, fostering a spirit of camaraderie and competition that pushed everyone to their limits.

One of the highlights of the camp was a special seminar by Coach Anthony Robles 2011 National Champ , where he shared his personal journey in wrestling, emphasizing the importance of resilience, dedication, and continuous learning. This was not only inspiring but also a perfect reminder of why we love this sport.

Beyond the mat, our students had the chance to explore the beautiful ASU campus and connect with fellow athletes. The trip also included team-building activities that strengthened the bonds within our group, ensuring that everyone left with new friends and unforgettable memories.

We’re incredibly proud of our students for their hard work and commitment throughout the camp. They’ve returned to Renzo Gracie LA with new skills, enhanced techniques, and a renewed passion for wrestling. A huge thank you to Coach Zelenskyy Jones and ASU for hosting such an impactful camp.

Stay tuned as we continue to train hard and implement everything we’ve learned. The future is bright for our young wrestlers, and we can’t wait to see what they achieve next. Oss!
